The ILM level 5 Certificate or Diploma in Coaching & Mentoring will arm managers and leaders in the workplace with new tools to be even more effective with motivating and developing individuals.

Programme Overview

There are three mandatory units in the ILM 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring. The first unit, ‘Understanding the skills, principles and practice of effective management coaching and mentoring’ aims to enable learners to understand the role and contribution of coaching and mentoring, and build a business case.

The second unit, ‘Reviewing own ability as a management coach or mentor’ aims to give learners the ability to critically review their own personal qualities, skills and competence.

For the Certificate, the third unit requires learners to demonstrate your ability to plan, deliver and review at least 12 hours of coaching and mentoring in the workplace. For the Diploma, the final unit is an extended 100 hours of coaching and mentoring, with multiple clients, and there is an added focus on using supervision and reflective review to develop individual practice. Delivery:              Blended delivery, including induction, 1:1 coaching, tutorial support & workshop interactions.

Programme to be completed within 1 year packed with hands-on experiential coaching and support, tutorials, 1:1 coaching, learning journal and ILM assessment to capture your action centred learning and continued professional development (CPD) .

Your study and reflections will enhance your communication skills, stretch your mental agility and allow a stepping stone route with study credits to a BA in Coaching & Mentoring at university level for example.
